FUTURA IBEX ATB FRAMESET

I'd like to introduce Kole Futura "Ibex"

A frame born from my neo-classical vision: a bicycle that looks back to the great handcrafted steel frames of the past while reinterpreting them through modern geometry and contemporary standards.

Those who know me know how much I admire the work of the master framebuilders who shaped cycling history. Inspired by Rauler's creations and the iconic frames he built for Colnago, I tried to imagine how that design language could have evolved into the present day. Not as a replica of the past, but as its natural evolution, designed for riders who share a similar vision to mine and are looking for a versatile ATB, equally at home on the daily commute, daily escapes, and fully loaded bikepacking trips.

The frame is built using custom lugs, which I hand-filed to achieve a consistent and harmonious look throughout the build. All of the lugs have been pantographed by Dario, one of the very few craftsmen in Italy who still carries this traditional technique forward. Beyond their visual appeal, lugs also provide additional structural reinforcement, something I deeply appreciate, as they eliminate the need for extra gussets around the head tube and seat cluster.

The frame is designed to clear tires up to 29 × 3.0 and features boost hub spacing. It can also be built with thru axle sliding dropouts Cable routing can be configured either externally or internally through the main triangle.
